Project 365: Week 18 (April 24 - 30, 2011)

The tornado that came through here this week took out my desktop so I am trying to do this entry via my laptop and the touchpad.  Yeeaaaaah, this should be fun :P.

Sunday

This is almost 48 hours after the Spousal Unit's gallbladder removal.  Curious Grace is looking at me and demanding to know exactly whhhhhhhhyyyyyyyy she can't go lay all over the Large Man's stomach the way she usually does.  ("Large Man" is their name for the SU.)

Monday

After taking the SU to his follow-up appointment to get the drain removed, I came home and polished up my nerd cred by watching the commentaries on my Stargate: Atlantis episodes.

Tuesday

Kitty TV

Wednesday

Rylie after her first haircut

Thursday

Well, at least someone is back in a routine :P.

Friday

We made root beer floats to toast the SU's continuing recovery and return to work this week.

Saturday

He let me take one picture to prove he was back in action.  (Note, however, as per last week's pre-surgery picture, he is still studiously ignoring me.)

Sunday

Scenes from dinner :).  I was making Bombay Sloppy Joes which use garam masala and serrano peppers.

Monday

My shoe!  Mine!  (what really creeped me out was the way her one eye kept following me while I crawled around to get the picture.)

Tuesday

My constant companion this week.  Not only is the Spousal Unit down for the count but the dreaded Mucus Monster is trying to claw its way to a foothold in my nose!

Wednesday

The time I finished my workout Wednesday morning.  Some mornings are great and some are just a constant prayer (i.e. "Dear God, why am I/doing this/not finished yet/putting myself through this?")

Thursday

My granddaughters :).  Rylie wants to make sure Emery is getting the whole "lie down and make people come to you" thing down right.

Friday

The Spousal Unit on the morning of his surgery.  Note the stoicness with which he ignores me :).

Saturday

I ran out to Walmart this morning to get some subsistence shopping done and grab some sterile gloves.  While I was there, I saw this on an Easter display:  Dude Bunny!.  Man, when I was little all I got was the standard chocolate-bunny-in-profile :P.  (I did pick it up to see if it might play a rap version of some Easter-type tune but no such luck.)

Life ate my brain

I have had a post percolating in the back of my head since the Beth Moore event (which starts the thread) through these last 2-2.5 weeks with the Spousal Unit being ill and then needing surgery and various occurances in between. But...exhausted (also a theme) and brain hurty now. I'm hoping I can marshal my neurons into something approximating intelligent thought and/or the English language maybe by tomorrow (c'mon sleep!). But for now, there will be another Project 365 post coming your way :).

Project 365: Week 16 (April 10-16)

Sunday

Oh?  You wanted to read?

Monday

I was up at this time a lot during the week while the Spousal Unit continued to "enjoy" the effects of his recalcitrant gallbladder.

Tuesday

Saw the doctor and the Spousal Unit is scheduled for surgery next Friday.

Wednesday

I mentioned her in last week's P365 entry under the "dunce" (as in "I was a...") entry.  This is Janet, my awesome co-worker and also known as She Who Knows Where the Bodies are Buried.

Thursday

The Spousal Unit took a picture of me while I was cooking.  It was meant to be a joke to send to my mom about something she'd said on the phone about my multitasking.  Please note I am cooking dinner (chicken Marengo) while having already done my mise en place, *and* if you look closely, I also have my iPod playing in my ears.  Huh.  Who says I can't multitask?  (Side note:  stole one of the SU's shirts to protect against bacon grease splatter.)

Friday

For Momma Frans, who said she wanted to see what was *in* the bags from my shopping last week.  The dress, necklace and wedges all courtesy of the shopping trip.

Saturday

First, since I know Sara will say something, I went to the Beth Moore conferene with her but do not have any pictures to post since I only had my phone camera (curse my sieve-like mind) and the few pics I tried did NOT come out.  Ergo, I have substituted this picture of Curious Grace who was napping like this when I came home.  I decided to follow suit - only without the spinal contortions and the mashing my face into the couch arm.

Project 365: Week 15 (April 3 - 9, 2011)

Sunday

What?  I'm too sexy for my fur.

Monday

Driving home from the doctor's in the rain.  The sky was a lot darker than it came through on my phone camera.

Tuesday

Where I ended up spending Monday night through almost 3 am on Tuesday morning.  The Spousal Unit's gallbladder decided that it was time to break up with him and nothing says "It's not you, it's me" more than the excruciating pain of gallstones.

Wednesday

The day we learn that Percocet makes the Spousal Unit really loopy and ask for vegetables at 3 in the morning.

Thursday

In which the cats decide the Spousal Unit needs comforting.  I think the look on the SU's face says rather eloquently how comforting almost 40 pounds of cat actually is.

Friday

Not a picture I took but it seemed appropriate.  In all the hustle and bustle this week, I forgot to get something ready for a visiting instructor before I left to take my husband to the doctor to talk about setting up the surgery.  My awesome co-worker (whose picture will be part of next week's Project pics) covered for me.

Saturday

My mom decided I needed new clothes and sent me money for some so I went shopping today with Sara as my wingman.
