This year I went to a Messiah sing, two caroling walks, we have a Christmas session tomorrow ( christmas carols on concertina and fiddle are AWESOME) and Monday some people are getting together to do a Christmas Carol read through. I find I'm much less stressed and really able to celebrate when the consumerism is ignored or sidelined. But come Christmas day, I could not stand not putting something in his stocking. So, I bought a few oranges and wrote him a love letter and placed it in his stocking. funny thing is....he did the same thing for me!!! We should get a little more strict with ourselves - but I tend to think that since we'll be in debt until we die then what does it matter?
